Unfortunately, during the war, Greyback snatched it from her. Now she has acquired a new wand: Holly, dragon heartstring core, flexible. House at Hogwarts: Gryffindor Family Parents: Hermione’s parents are both muggle dentists: Thomas and Anne Granger. They met while at school, learning the fine arts of dentistry. They married as soon as they finished school and both had some money in their pockets. They are very practical people who raised Hermione to be a well-rounded person. Siblings: Hermione is an only child. Although she used to wish desperately that her parents would provide her with a sibling, she now has her own surrogate brothers in Ron and Harry. Family interactions: Anne and Thomas could not be prouder of their daughter. When they found out she was a witch who would be attending a magical school in Scotland, they were surprised to say the least. Being scientific and practical in nature, they thought it was a joke at first. However, it did explain many strange happenings around the Granger household. They decided to send their only child to this odd school and when Hermione returned home, she was absolutely delighted with her newfound powers. Hermione and her parents were always close and her magical abilities never changed that. Occupation: Hermione is training to work for the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. She has always been a stickler for rules (ignoring a few exceptions) and is looking forward to maintaining justice to the wizarding world. Residence: She lives with Harry Potter in his flat. Financial status: Scrimping and saving. Political views: Hermione is very supportive of Kingsley Shacklebolt, the new Minister of Magic. She believes he is very capable of handling the after-war effects on the wizarding world. During the war, Hermione fully supported Harry in his efforts to defeat Voldemort. She despised the Ministry under Fudge and even more under Scrimgeour. She is thankful that they finally have somebody solid in the Minister's office. Blood Status: Muggleborn Sexuality: Heterosexual. Hermione had her first dating experiences with Viktor Krum in her fourth year. She had also been harboring feelings for Ron, which was painfully obvious to everyone but him. They finally realized how they felt for one another during the war and Hermione can’t imagine being with anyone else. Physical description Height: 5’4’’ Weight: 125 lbs. Distinguishing marks: Despite very bushy hair that is hardly tamable, Hermione could be described as a ‘plain Jane’. She did have large front teeth until Madame Pomfrey unknowingly fixed them. Appearance: Hermione is relatively short but her hair alone could add an extra two inches. Her hair is curly and bushy, a deadly combination. She tries to pull it back in a plait, but it rarely stays. Her eyes are a chocolate brown, her nose is nice and straight, and her teeth are just right. Hermione is curvy, but wishes she was more slender. She is not one to exercise but stresses out enough that she keeps her weight down. Generally, Hermione hates thinking about her appearance because there are so many things she would fix if she thought about it too much. Personality: Hermione Jean Granger used to be a bossy, know-it-all. She has grown since then and knows when to keep certain things to herself. She still has a tendency to spout facts but has relaxed on certain issues such as rule breaking, at least where Ron and Harry are concerned... sometimes. Hermione still has a very strong sense of justice and whom it belongs to. Her heart is in the right place even if her methods are a little extreme. For instance, S.P.E.W. Hermione knitted hats for house elves believing she was really helping them, even though she still wasn’t getting through to them. Hermione also adopted Crookshanks, a cat who is part kneazle, because he was constantly overlooked at the Magical Menagerie. Hermione is brilliant to the point of genius. She loves studying with a passion and is sad that her learning days are over. She is, however, very happy to explore a new career and help others in the process. Hermione plans on using her smarts to create new laws without loopholes, and destroy inhumane and outdated laws. History After the war, there was a lot of damage done to Hogwarts and Diagon Alley. Hermione volunteered immediately to help rebuild the school in her spare time. She also continued studying for her N.E.W.T.s, helping Harry and Ron study as well. All three managed to pass the daunting tests and were then able to move on to other pressing matters, such as finding jobs. The trio are living together in Harry's flat for now. Hermione plans to move out immediately upon saving enough money for her own place as she doesn't want to be a burden on Harry. Hermione is currently working towards gaining a position in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. | |||||||||
