Finally, a job that is meant for me. Working in the Improper Use of Magic Department is not what I was expecting it to be. I thought it would be a bit dull or not challenging enough, but quite the contrary. I haven't enjoyed working in months, but I suppose all I needed was a change of scenery. Also, the job is less time-consuming and I am able to get more done at home now. The raise is nice, as well.

This week has been one of the busiest yet. I am quickly learning to keep track of certain things and let others go. I'm afraid I've been ignoring my friends as a result, however.

Going to the Burrow didn't work out today, which was decidedly upsetting. However, Ron and I went to the zoo instead and had a good time. I did feel that some of their animals were not taken care of as well as they should be. The monkeys and chimps were in blank rooms with a simple glass window. They barely had any climbing material with which to entertain themselves. I'm personally going to see about changing that.
I did enjoy the zoo, though, despite the lack of sufficient care some of the animals had. Ron and I had a pleasant dinner afterward. I wasn't able to eat meat, however, having just seen various animals. We finally stopped at a French Bistro where I had a vegetarian meal. Of course, it was mostly bread and cheese but still enjoyable.
